Ivacy VPN Overview
Ivacy is a Singapore-based VPN service provider with more than 1000 servers worldwide in well over 100+ locations. According to their website, it offers just about every feature you could ask for.
You get unlimited speed once you’re connected to their 1000+ servers and there aren’t any caps on the bandwidth allocation either. It’s highly compatible with Android and IOS apps, browser extensions or devices such as Xbox & Play Station, Amazon Firestick, Kodi and Android TV are also supported.
As of 2019, Ivacy’s servers are optimized in 50 countries and it’s known worldwide for offering VPN services at really inexpensive prices. I’ve noticed some slips as well. Although, there are more pros than cons so just let’s dive into detail and discuss where Ivacy lacks and where it shines.
With that in light, I present to you ‘Ivacy’. I’ve been using this service for about a couple months now and was thrilled to encounter that Ivacy is the home to not just one, but 4 diverse solutions.
Its features are surely advanced, but in all honesty, when it comes to speed and performance, I’ve used better alternatives.
Pricing and Discounts
Before we get into the specifications and stuff, I think we should talk about the one thing which matters the most; money.
A VPN can be tremendously excellent, but if it’s over-expensive, not many users will be keen to buy it.
Ivacy, on the other hand, is astonishingly cheap.
On monthly billing, you can avail Ivacy VPN at $9.95/mo, on an annual billing at $3.33/mo, on 2-year billing at just $2.25/mo, and currently they are offering amazing deal for 5-year plan (Limited time offer) at just $1.33/mo.
In addition, you can avail an extra discount of 10% with this coupon “DISCOUNT10“. Apply this code during the checkout.

Now that we’ve cleared the air regarding the pricing, let’s talk about what makes Ivacy a good VPN provider:
Performance, Speed, and Stability
We took various tests through speedtest.net ranging from server to server, in order to determine if it was competent in terms of speed or not.
While in some regions, it served excellent speed. Countries such as the UK, Japan, Canada, etc. were surprisingly rapid. I estimated that the US and UE servers were giving around 45-55 mpbs of download speed and 25-35 mbps of upload speed.
The Asian server, however, was slightly disappointing. The ping was high and the download/upload tests initially failed a couple times. The Australian server was also not living up to the standards.
The overall performance was good, if not great and there are a few catches which might bug some users. There was some uproar with the Windows Client as well since it took way too much time to load, sometimes up to a couple of minutes.
Other than speed, we also ran DNS and IPv6 leak tests in order to deeply examine how systematically Ivacy can conceal the user’s IP address. I have to say Ivacy is capable of warning the user about a potential IP leak and can detect when the IP is transparent or when it’s not.
Other than that, the DNS leak tests severely failed many times. Ivacy is not as superior in handling DNS leaks as it ought to have been.
Torrenting and Streaming
Ivacy for Netflix
Here’s where the problem arises. Although Ivacy is exceptionally good in Torrenting, the same can’t be said for unblocking restricted Netflix servers.
To test the waters, we checked not one but three Netflix servers namely the UK, US, and Canada, to see if Ivacy could stay untraceable for long. Surprise, surprise; all three of them failed.
Ivacy doesn’t cooperate with Netflix much. However, I wasn’t willing to quit that easily. I manually logged into another US server; finally, it let us in. So there are some bugs here and there but upon trying you can stream Netflix by changing servers.
You can easily torrent your way through almost all major torrent sites known to man. Ivacy’s redeeming quality is its ability to allow users to torrent in peace and with utmost anonymity. You could never be traced and your IP will be secure from anything harmful.
Ivacy has P2P optimized servers in many locations including US, Canada, Asia, and the UK. Many VPN providers shy away from letting the user download and share bulky files over the Internet but luckily, Ivacy isn’t one of them. It sets no caps over the file sharing and ensures whatever content you share is encrypted and cannot be snooped over.
Hulu, Vudu and other streaming websites
Not only Netflix, but with Ivacy you can unlock several other streaming sites such as Hulu, Sling TV, and even Vudu. The only hitch here is that Ivacy cannot unblock BBC iPlayer. It’s a rock-solid platform to penetrate and its servers are quick to detect Ivacy’s IP addresses.
Platforms and Devices
Supported Apps and Devices
Ivacy is a rather compatible VPN. As well all know, people tend to use a variety of devices nowadays. After all, you cannot carry your computer with you wherever you go. It’s important to secure your Internet connection on your smartphone also.
Ivacy provides both Android and IOS applications so the user can enable a safer experience over public networks.
Along with that, Ivacy also offers desktop variants for Windows, Mac as well the Linux OS so you can boost your NPN services over your computers too.
Supported Browser extensions
Ivacy offers proxy entensions for both Chrome and Firefox Internet browsers. One can simply download add-ons on the browser and start powering the VPN immediately.
Supported Streaming devices and Gaming consoles
Ivacy is highly compatible with a wide range of gadgets. From the likes of streaming devices such as the Amazon Firestick, Android Tv, Kodi, to gaming consoles like Xbox, PS3 and PS4; Ivacy supports them all.
Privacy and Logging policy
Their Logging policy is also very patent and really true to its form and it’s actually upheld without any errors on Ivacy’s part. Ivacy get never hold your sensitive data except for the email address and ensures that it has no authority to monitor any of your move over the internet.
One could never even begin to comprehend how many prying eyes are out there snooping, wrecking their way through and causing havoc in people’s private business. Believe me, you don’t want your communication getting into wrong hands.
Ivacy optimizes 256-bit encryption with powerful state-of-the-art security and is impossible to penetrate.
If it wasn’t capable of bypassing the Great firewall of China, I probably wouldn’t marked Ivacy as a below-average VPN provider. To my astonishing surprise, Ivacy works exceptionally well in China like a charm.
I’m not saying that the GFW wouldn’t block your access. Of course it would. But if you switch your VPN protocol, this issue should be resolved.
Initially, after running all the speed and server tests, I didn’t have high expectations from the customer support. Other than that, I’ve learned that live support is something that not many service providers can uphold.
However, I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t expecting Ivacy’s support to be this good, truth be told. The team was effortlessly swift to respond and very friendly in terms of communication as well.
They maintain their end with the perfect balance of responsiveness and professionalism.
To sum it all up
After going through every nook and cranny, I’ve reached a conclusion. Ivacy is worth putting your faith in, after all. The most important thing for a VPN is to provide supreme security. Does Ivacy excel in that department? Of course, it does!
In addition to that, it has multiple protocols available making the VPN experience a lot more enhanced. Most people optimize VPNs so they could unblock restricted content and Ivacy is more than capable of accessing YouTube US, Netflix as well as most torrent sites.
The security remains to be Ivacy’s saving grace. Ivacy has some major catches easily noticeable to users. But the toughest security Ivacy grants is remarkable in all aspects.
If you’re willing to ignore a few hitches, I think Ivacy can suit your security concerns brilliantly.
Do I recommend Ivacy VPN?
Well, I’m not going to lie; I’ve seen better VPN with far improved speed and connections. However, if you want blazing-fast speed, you’re required to pay high sums of money.
Ivacy is amazingly inexpensive and considering its price range, I’d say it’s a competent service.
It sure has some quirks, but the number of Pros is clearly outshining the number of Cons. Therefore, I’d suggest you try Ivacy out and if you are still unsure, you can avail the 30 days money-back guarantee.
